What is the Bubbletop Widget Platform?
The Bubbletop Widget Platform allows you to include your own custom built widgets into the Bubbletop platform. Once added, anyone using Bubbletop can add your widget to their personal homepage. You could become web2.0-famous!
If you build a website then you’ll be able to build a widget. Adding yours to Bubbletop is quick, easy and of course free.
Is there a developer’s handbook?
Why yes, there certainly is! You should look here. However if you get stuck you can also drop us an email. We’ll try our best to help.
What are the requirements for having my widget appear on Bubbletop?
There really aren’t any requirements as such. However we reserve the right to remove widgets that don’t work correctly, violate copyright/laws/etc or could attempt to do something misleading or harmful with the Bubbletop platform.
How do I get my widget listed on Bubbletop?
In order for you to get your widget onto Bubbletop, simply:
1. Create a Bubbletop Widget XML file
2. Test your Widget in the Widget Preview
3. Submit your widget to the Bubbletop team
I have already built widgets for other services - can I import them into Bubbletop?
We’re in the process of building a nice little bridge that will allow you to simply include widgets you’ve already built for other personalized AJAX homepages.

How secure is the Bubbletop platform?
Bubbletop will always load your widget into an IFRAME. This means that other widgets in a user’s page shouldn’t be able to interact with the data within your widget.
How long will it take to get my widget on Bubbletop?
Once you have submitted your widget to Bubbletop, the team will try to review your widget and add it to the directory within 7 days.
Where can I go to get help and support from other widget developers?
Very shortly we will be launching a forum to enable developers to discuss their widget development and help with each other.
